Description
Description
VP C85 is a race-grade ethanol fuel formulated for competition engines running E85-compatible fuel systems. Unlike pump E85, which varies from 51% to 83% ethanol depending on season and region, C85 is blended to a fixed specification every batch. That consistency is what makes it tunable and repeatable for competition use.
C85 produces up to 4% more power and torque than conventional E85, with a 106 Research Octane Number and 31.97% oxygen content. It is unleaded and compatible with E85 fuel systems. Do not use with fuel injectors that are not compatible with MTBE.
Note: Due to state regulations, C85 is not currently available in CO, CT, MA, NH, or NY.

Frequently asked questions:
What is VP C85 race fuel? VP C85 is a race-formulated ethanol fuel blended to a fixed specification every batch, with a 106 Research Octane Number and 31.97% oxygen content. Unlike pump E85, which varies from 51% to 83% ethanol by season and region, C85 is consistent drum to drum, making it tunable and repeatable for competition engines.
Is VP C85 the same as pump E85? No. Pump E85 varies significantly in ethanol content depending on season and geography, making it difficult to tune around. C85 is blended to a consistent specification every batch, giving tuners a predictable baseline and producing up to 4% more power and torque than conventional E85.
What engines is VP C85 compatible with? C85 is designed for competition engines with E85-compatible fuel systems, including upgraded injectors, fuel pumps, and lines rated for high-ethanol blends. Do not use with fuel injectors that are not MTBE-compatible.
Is VP C85 available in all states? No. Due to state regulations, C85 is not currently available for sale in Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or New York.
Does VP C85 require hazmat shipping? Yes. C85 is a flammable liquid subject to hazmat regulations. A surcharge will be added at checkout and reflected in your shipping cost.
