The HP Tuners Toyota Smart Access Cable is a purpose-built connection solution for supported modern Toyota platforms. Designed to work with HP Tuners MPVI4 and RTD4, the cable integrates behind the dashboard and connects directly to the factory OBDII system, providing a clean and accessible connection point for diagnostics, datalogging, and ECU calibration.
Unlike a traditional plug-and-play cable, the Smart Access Cable is installed behind the dash and remains integrated with the vehicle. Once installed, an MPVI4 can be connected for use with VCM Suite, while an RTD4 can be used with TDN for remote tuning workflows.
The cable allows supported Toyota applications to be scanned, diagnosed, datalogged, and calibrated while maintaining a clean OEM-style installation. It is particularly useful for vehicles receiving custom tuning where repeated access to the ECU and diagnostic system is required.
