Description
Upgrade the in-tank fuel system on your BMW E46 with the Radium Engineering Fuel Pump Hanger. Designed as a complete replacement for both the right- and left-hand factory fuel-hat assemblies, the 20-1180 provides the foundation needed for a high-flow, return-style performance fuel system while retaining the E46's saddle-tank functionality.
The Radium hanger supports one or two aftermarket fuel pumps, including both conventional 2-wire brushed pumps and compatible 3- or 4-wire brushless pumps. Both the passive-side and active-side OEM fuel-level sensors are reused, allowing the factory fuel-level system to continue operating.
Unlike simplified aftermarket pump conversions, Radium retains a true saddle-tank crossover system. The hanger incorporates an upgraded PRV venturi jet-pump siphon that continually transfers fuel from the passive side of the tank into the active-side collector. This helps keep fuel available around the pump inlets during cornering, acceleration, and other high-load driving conditions.
The merged fuel-pump outlet uses a 10AN ORB female port, while the return inlet is also machined with a 10AN ORB female port. Radium supplies adapters that allow the hanger to reconnect to the factory fuel feed and return plumbing when the complete aftermarket plumbing kit is not being used.
Installation is fully drop-in with no cutting or vehicle modification required.
