Description
The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator helps reduce the amount of oil vapor and other contaminants that are routed back into the intake system through the crankcase ventilation system. Designed specifically for select 2.0L EcoBoost applications, this passenger-side oil separator captures oil vapors before they can accumulate throughout the intake tract.
Forced-induction engines can produce increased crankcase pressure, which can contribute to greater amounts of oil vapor entering the intake system. Over time, this residue can collect in the intake tube and manifold runners and potentially affect air and fuel quality.
The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator uses a fine stainless steel mesh filter to separate oil vapor from the crankcase gases. As the captured oil collects in the separator, it can be drained and the system returned to service. The 3 oz capacity provides a compact solution that is easy to inspect and maintain.
Machined from solid 6061 billet aluminum, the separator features a knurled base for easy removal and an O-ring seal to help prevent leaks. The plug-and-play design is engineered for a straightforward installation while maintaining an OEM-style appearance.
