The outer rings are crafted from GiroDiscās proprietary high-carbon cast iron, known for its strength, thermal stability, and resistance to distortion under repeated high-heat cycles. The inner hats are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum and anodized for long-term corrosion resistance. This combination allows GiroDisc rotors to significantly reduce unsprung and rotational mass compared to OEM unitsāimproving suspension responsiveness, acceleration, and overall handling.
The floating mount design uses cadmium-plated steel drive pins and spring washers to allow the rotors to expand and contract freely under extreme heat, which minimizes stress, warping, and cracking.
