The FactionFab F-Spec Front Brake Pads for the 2002–2003 Subaru WRX are designed to deliver consistent braking performance, predictable pedal modulation, and dependable initial bite for aggressive street driving, autocross, and light track use. Their para-aramid friction compound offers linear thermal stability and good low-temperature performance while helping maintain low operating noise and extended rotor life.
Rated for operating temperatures up to 1300°F, the F-Spec compound is designed to help resist brake fade during repeated hard braking. The pre-scorched friction material helps improve modulation in colder conditions, while OEM-style gas slots and chamfers support efficient braking and help reduce vibration-related noise.
FactionFab uses positive molded technology to compress the friction material under extreme pressure, helping remove impurities and excess resins for reliable performance throughout the brake pad's service life. Precision-cut backing plates provide accurate fitment within the caliper, and mechanically attached, application-specific shims help reduce unwanted noise caused by pad vibration.
These front brake pads are designed for compatible early Subaru WRX caliper configurations. Subaru changed the front caliper design during 2002–2003 production, so model year alone is not sufficient to confirm fitment. This pad style is confirmed for WRX models with a build date of May 2002 or earlier. For vehicles built from October through December 2002, compare the existing pad shape against the product fitment reference before ordering.
