The FactionFab Axle Back Exhaust with Polished Tips is designed for the 2011–2014 Subaru WRX and STI sedan, replacing the factory mufflers with a muffler-delete configuration for a louder exhaust note, a more aggressive appearance, and reduced exhaust system weight. Designed as a direct replacement for the factory mufflers, this axle-back system installs using simple hand tools and can typically be fitted in a short amount of time.
Manufactured entirely in the USA using American-sourced tubing, the system features mandrel-bent 16-gauge 304 stainless steel tubing for durability and consistent exhaust flow. Thick 3/8-inch laser-cut flanges provide a solid mounting interface, while sturdy 1/2-inch hangers help support the system during daily driving. All components are TIG welded by hand to provide a durable, high-quality finish.
The axle-back system is finished with twin-wall 3.5-inch polished stainless steel exhaust tips. The slip-on tip design allows the tip position to be adjusted relative to the rear bumper for a cleaner, more customized appearance.
By removing the factory mufflers, the FactionFab axle-back delivers a more pronounced exhaust sound while reducing weight by more than 6 pounds per side compared with the original equipment. The kit includes new installation hardware and gaskets to help simplify the replacement process.
This system is designed specifically for the 2011–2014 Subaru WRX and STI sedan using the factory mid-pipe or a direct factory-replacement mid-pipe. It is not compatible with the Subaru SPT exhaust system, so confirm your existing exhaust configuration before ordering.
