The Diode Dynamics SS3 SAE Type A Fog Light Kit is engineered to provide a substantial upgrade over factory fog lights with improved performance, precise beam control, and OEM-quality fitment. Designed as a direct replacement for many factory fog light applications, this kit combines premium construction with industry-leading optics to maximize usable light without increasing glare.

At the heart of the SS3 is Diode Dynamics' proprietary Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optic. Unlike traditional reflector-based designs, the TIR optic captures and focuses nearly all of the LED output into a highly controlled beam pattern. This results in greater efficiency, improved foreground visibility, and reduced glare for oncoming traffic.

The SAE Fog beam pattern provides an ultra-wide 80-degree spread that evenly illuminates the roadway immediately in front of your vehicle. Fully compliant with SAE J583 standards when properly aimed, these lights offer exceptional visibility while remaining legal for on-road use.

Available in Pro, output level, the SS3 allows you to choose the performance level that best matches your driving needs. This Pro version delivers outstanding brightness and beam control, making it an excellent choice for daily driving, poor weather conditions, and nighttime visibility.

Each pod also features an integrated amber backlight that creates a modern accent lighting effect when connected to your preferred vehicle function.

Installation is completely plug-and-play using the included Type A mounting brackets and wiring adapters. Simply remove your factory fog lights, install the SS3 assemblies, and connect them using the supplied hardware—no cutting or complex wiring required.
