Description
Give the Ford Explorer Tremor a more aggressive EcoBoost exhaust note without sacrificing the clearance that makes the Tremor capable off pavement. The AWE 0FG Catback Exhaust features a true dual 3-inch configuration engineered specifically for the Explorer Tremor, combining increased exhaust flow, AWE’s patented drone-canceling 180 Technology®, and high-clearance dual BashGuard™ outlets.
AWE uses a precision X-pipe and straight-through resonators to produce a clean, aggressive tone from the 3.0L EcoBoost while controlling rasp and unwanted frequencies. AWE’s 180 Technology® targets problematic frequencies that can create cabin drone, making the system suitable for an Explorer that still sees regular highway and daily driving.
The system is constructed from U.S.-sourced .065-inch-wall T304L stainless steel using CNC mandrel-bent tubing. Internally lined stainless-steel flex sections are incorporated into the system for durability, while slip-fit inlet adapters provide proper connection to the factory downpipes and retain an open 3-inch connection for compatible aftermarket upstream hardware.
Instead of conventional low-hanging exhaust tips, this configuration uses dual high-tuck AWE BashGuards to maximize rear ground clearance. Each BashGuard features a reinforced .125-inch-thick stainless-steel ring at the outlet to withstand contact encountered during off-road use.
AWE reports dyno-proven gains of 13 horsepower and 12 lb-ft of torque at the wheels with its straight-through exhaust design. The system is a direct bolt-on installation requiring no cutting and does not require an ECU tune.
