Description
The Thermal R&D 3" Catback Exhaust System is designed specifically for the Ford Explorer ST to provide a refined yet powerful exhaust note with increased exhaust flow and zero drone. Constructed from full 3-inch mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel tubing, this system runs from the front pipes back, connecting after the factory catalytic converters to preserve OEM emissions compliance.
True Helmholtz Technology is integrated into the rear chambers to eliminate unwanted resonance while delivering a deep, throaty exhaust tone under acceleration. At cruising speeds, the exhaust remains quiet and comfortable, making it ideal for daily-driven Explorer STs that still demand aggressive performance sound when pushed.
The system installs easily using OEM hangers and mounts directly to the factory catalytic converters with no cutting or welding required. Designed to fit the factory rear valance, the exhaust is available with ceramic-coated black or polished dual 4-inch tips to match your preferred style. Mill-finished tubing and brushed Helmholtz chambers ensure long-term durability and a premium appearance.
