Description

Heat is one of the biggest limitations on the 2020–2026 Ford Explorer ST and EcoBoost-powered Explorer and Aviator platforms. The factory intercooler quickly becomes heat-soaked under spirited driving, towing, or repeated acceleration. The CVF Performance Intercooler is engineered to eliminate that bottleneck.

With a massive 214% increase in volume and 260% greater frontal area over the OEM unit, this upgraded core dramatically improves cooling capacity. Measuring 26.5" x 15.75" x 2", the enlarged bar-and-plate design maximizes airflow exposure for consistent, repeatable performance. Independent real-world street testing has shown reductions of up to 85 degrees in Charge Air Temperature compared to stock under similar driving conditions.

Unlike many competitors that rely on fabricated aluminum tanks, CVF utilizes fully cast end tanks for smoother internal airflow and reduced turbulence. The result is improved efficiency, faster temperature recovery, and stronger performance throughout the RPM range.
