The AWE Exhaust Suite for the 2018–2023 Ford S550 Mustang GT was engineered to give the 5.0L V8 the soundtrack it deserves. Designed around a full 3-inch modular catback architecture, the lineup offers three distinct personalities—SwitchPath™, Touring Edition, and Track Edition—allowing drivers to tailor sound, comfort, and aggression to their exact preference.

Every configuration begins with AWE’s precision-engineered H-pipe, specifically chosen to deliver a deeper, richer muscle tone with reduced rasp compared to traditional X-pipe systems. Combined with straight-through bullet-style resonators in the mid-pipes, the result is a smooth, aggressive exhaust note that retains classic V8 character while minimizing unwanted harshness.

The SwitchPath™ Exhaust retains complete factory active valve functionality, preserving drive mode integration, programmable exhaust settings, and OEM button controls. This allows the system to transition seamlessly between refined cruising manners and full Coyote aggression at the push of a button.

The Touring Edition features AWE’s patented 180 Technology®, designed to eliminate drone-prone frequencies without relying on traditional packing materials. This results in a clean, refined soundtrack that remains consistent over time while maintaining comfortable cabin acoustics for daily driving and long-distance cruising.

For drivers seeking maximum volume and minimal restriction, the Track Edition removes the rear resonators entirely in favor of straight-through rear sections. The result is the most aggressive exhaust note in the lineup with a raw, uncompromised sound profile both inside and outside the vehicle.

Each system is handcrafted from U.S.-sourced .065” wall T304L stainless steel using CNC mandrel-bent tubing for maximum durability and consistent flow characteristics. Modular slip-fit inlet adapters provide perfect compatibility with factory headers while maintaining open 3-inch connections for future upstream upgrades.

Dyno testing confirms gains of up to +4 horsepower and +3 lb-ft of torque at the wheels on an otherwise stock Mustang GT. The systems finish with quad 4-inch double-walled slash-cut tips available in chrome silver or diamond black for an aggressive, premium appearance.

Installation is fully bolt-on with no cutting required. Touring and Track Edition systems installed on factory active valve-equipped vehicles will require the optional AWE Valve Motor Bracket to prevent check engine lights.
