Description
Description
Take your braking performance to the next level with GiroDisc 2-Piece Front Rotors, designed as a direct replacement for the Volkswagen Mk8 Golf R and Audi 8Y S3. Engineered for spirited street driving, track use, and everything in between, these lightweight rotors deliver improved responsiveness, superior cooling, and long-term value thanks to their fully serviceable 2-piece design.
At the core of each rotor is a proprietary high-carbon iron ring that’s precision-machined for exceptional strength, heat resistance, and wear durability. The 72 curved internal vanes function as a centrifugal pump, drawing air through the center to dramatically improve heat dissipation—perfect for repeated high-speed braking.
The aluminum rotor hats are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet, anodized in black for corrosion resistance, and bolted to the ring using GiroDisc’s floating hardware system—complete with cadmium-plated drive pins, Belleville washers, and spring clips. This setup allows for axial float to reduce thermal stress while maintaining noise-free operation on the street.
⚠️ Note: When rotor rings wear out, simply replace them with D1-288 replacement rings—no need to buy the entire assembly again.
