Description
The GiroDisc 2-piece floating rotor system is a precision-engineered, USA-made brake upgrade for Hyundai’s N-series performance vehicles. Built as a direct OEM replacement, these rotors bolt up without modification, working seamlessly with stock calipers while maintaining factory brake bias and ABS calibration.
The central hat is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, anodized black for corrosion resistance, and paired with a proprietary high-carbon cast iron rotor ring. Each rotor utilizes 48 curved directional vanes to pump cooling air through the rotor for maximum heat dissipation, reducing brake fade under aggressive driving or track conditions.
The fully floating design uses GiroDisc’s in-house manufactured high-strength steel drive pins, cadmium-plated for long-lasting corrosion protection. Belleville washers and anti-noise spring clips allow for thermal expansion while preventing rattling during street use. This floating interface also ensures the rotor self-centers between the pads, delivering consistent braking feel.
When the rotor rings wear out, you can reuse the aluminum hats and simply install GiroDisc replacement rings (sold in pairs with hardware). These replacement rings are built to the same high standards and materials as the originals, ensuring identical performance and fitment.
