It is a popular upgrade for VW and Audi MQB platforms and is a direct bolt-on turbo upgrade that requires a tune that supports the IS38. The IS38 can be swapped onto vehicles that came with IS12 and IS20 turbos from the factory. New spark plugs, gaskets, and hardware are required for installation
