Improve engine response and reduce rotational mass in your 2022+ Honda Civic Si with the Action Clutch AC136FW-RT Retrofit Chromoly Lightweight Flywheel. Designed specifically for the 1.5L L15B7 turbocharged engine, this flywheel allows the newer Civic Si to use the larger FK8 Civic Type R clutch setup for increased clutch capacity and performance.
The AC136FW-RT is manufactured from high-strength chromoly and heat treated for increased durability under demanding street and track use. Action Clutch flywheels are tested to speeds of up to 18,000 RPM and feature a high thermal capacity to withstand the heat generated during aggressive driving.
Reducing rotational mass allows the engine to respond more quickly to throttle inputs and can improve rev response and shifting characteristics. The flywheel also features a resurfaceable friction surface, helping extend its service life when properly maintained.
This retrofit flywheel is designed to work with the 2016-2021 Civic Type R FK8 clutch kit, making it a useful option for 2022+ Civic Si owners looking to upgrade the clutch system while retaining the L15B7 engine. OEM 1.5L Turbo pressure plate and flywheel bolts should be used during installation.
Because of the reduced rotational mass, some increase in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) may be present compared with the heavier factory-style flywheel. The AC136FW-RT is intended as a high-performance component for street and race applications rather than an OEM replacement.
